Our Beach School at Seaford, transforms the shoreline into a wonderful outdoor classroom where learning takes place amidst the shingle, sand, and salty air of this fantastic coastal spot. The best part of Beach School is witnessing the pure wonder and amazement on the children’s faces as they discover new sights, sounds, and textures. Through discovery, enquiry and imagination children build understanding and knowledge of the natural world.
What are the fantastic values of Beach School at Toddlers Inn?
The amazing combination of water, sand, stones and pebbles, offering endless possibilities for play. Children get creative with building sandcastles and pebble towers, fostering teamwork and imagination, or they can conduct simple science experiments with pebbles and water, learning about weight and texture. Children gain constant opportunities for new experiences and discoveries. It is incredibly rewarding to observe the growth in confidence of each child with every returning visit being able to spend time outdoors in fresh air, in a new environment.
We engage all our senses by exploring the beach- feeling the sand between our bare feet, listening to the rhythmic waves, and looking out for passing boats.
We conduct simple science experiments with pebbles and water, learning about weight and texture.
