šŸ’”Ā Top Tips for Safe Trick-or-Treating

If you're taking your little ones out in the neighbourhood this year, keep these simple safety tips in mind:

  • Glow in the dark:Ā Add reflective tape to costumes or give your children fun glow sticks to wear so they are easily seen by cars in the dark.

  • Follow the "Pumpkin Rule":Ā Only knock on doors of houses that have a lit pumpkin or Halloween decorations displayed outside—this is the universal sign that they are happy to welcome trick-or-treaters!

  • Check the haul:Ā Before letting toddlers dig into their sweets, do a quick sort-through to remove any choking hazards like hard boiled sweets, whole nuts, or chewy toffees.
