That magical time of year is just around the corner yet again! Luckily there are lots of Christmas events in Sussex this year to help you get in the mood for the big day!
There are Christmas markets. There are places to see Father Christmas. There are glittering Christmas light trails and more.

Christmas at Drusillas Zoo Park
Watch little eyes twinkle with wonder as they experience the glistening magic of Christmas at Drusillas! Come and meet Santa in his cosy cottage, get nose-to-nose with the huskies in the Ice Cave, sing along with the singing reindeer trio, stroll through twinkling decorations, and marvel at our 24ft Christmas tree. Bluebell Railway - Santa Specials
Visit this amazing festive experience with all the traditional sights, sounds and aromas of Christmas.
Get into the mood with some Christmas music while having your tickets checked, board your train in your own private compartment for a safe and enjoyable journey with mince pies and chocolate coins for you on board. You can then visit Santa in his parlour with an opportunity for a photo and collect your special present from Santa’s Workshop!
The whole experience will take around 2 hours from Sheffield Park and 2 hours 15 minutes from East Grinstead.

Tulleys Christmas Experience
Visit Santa’s Grotto at Tulleys Christmas Experience. Bring your family to enjoy a magical and unique Christmas experience for all ages! Created by the same award winning team that bring you the Tulleys Halloween Festivals and Escape Rooms. The Christmas Experience is set within the beautiful woodland grounds of Tulleys Farm.

Petworth’s Tree-mendous Christmas
Visit Petworth House this Christmas and discover an enchanted winter forest in the beautifully decorated Marble Hall. Enjoy choirs in the courtyard, late-night openings and a Christmas Makers Market, as well as festive food and drink and Christmas shopping in historic surroundings. Step into an enchanted winter forest in the Marble Hall, and see the woodland creatures, from deer crafted with garden greenery to little mice. Continue your journey to discover the Christmas trees that take inspiration from their surroundings.

Christmas at Bodiam Castle
For Christmas 2023 at Bodiam Castle, enjoy winter walks in the fresh air, treats in the tea-room and photos on a festive sleigh. There's the chance to listen to a story in the castle, have a go at some festive crafts, enjoy some live Christmas music performed by local groups and take part in a Christmas trail.

Christmas at Standen House
Arts and Crafts style rooms are dressed with softly lit Christmas trees and decorations inspired by the Beale family's wishes for Christmas. During 'Twilight Lates' weekends in December, see the house atmospherically lit for Christmas. From 18th November see the Standen Christmas tree in the Courtyard and for families, don't miss our fun festive event - a theatrical, sound experience with Spun Glass Theatre.

Glow Wild at Wakehurst
Sussex's ultimate festive trail is celebrating its tenth anniversary, featuring ten brand new installations for our milestone year plus lots more magical surprises.
As darkness falls, the gardens are brought to life with beautifully hand-crafted winter lanterns and captivating light installations created by leading artists.
This year, Glow Wild celebrates the sublime, inviting you to become part of the trail and discover awe-inspiring moments in nature.
